Pick-up and drop-off locations are the group’s choice. While many visitors to Philadelphia have specific sites they would like to see, many are happy to let our team create a custom itinerary that fits their interests, budget, mobility, and timeline.

Our Countryside Tour takes you out of Philadelphia to the best parts of the surrounding countryside – you experience both Valley Forge National Park and Amish Country all in one epic day! This private driving tour is a custom itinerary, so your guide is able to craft a route for your group that gets you to the sights you would like to visit most. You can choose to spend as much or as little time at each area as you’d like.

The drive out to Valley Forge National Historical Park from Philadelphia takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic. Your tour always include a drive around Valley Forge National Historic Park where you see regimental monuments and re-creations of the huts used by the troops who camped here. You have many opportunities to get out, explore, and take photos across the park. Visit the site of George Washington’s headquarters and the Washington Memorial Chapel, built in the early 1900s to commemorate this unique part of history. Throughout your drive, your guide shares stories and historical information. You also have a stop at the park’s Visitor Center, where you can see a short movie about the encampment, browse in the store, and visit the museum area.

Every visit to Lancaster and Amish Country includes a drive along many of the country roads that crisscross the area, while you hear about the history, philosophies and culture of the Amish and Mennonite people from your guide. Depending on the length of your tour, activities for your day may include taking a Amish buggy ride, visiting a local bakery, touring a museum to see how the Amish have lived for more than two centuries, eating lunch at a classic Pennsylvania Dutch Smorgasbord or market, and perusing many local craft and quilt shops for the perfect Amish souvenir.
