General Itinerary

The beginning of your tour takes you down to Penn’s Landing, with views over to New Jersey and out to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Get comfortable on your new steed as you build up your confidence. Then, ride through the Historic District, passing Elfreth’s Alley, the Betsy Ross House, Franklin’s grave and Independence Hall before you pass into Society Hill. The architecture of the stately homes here is a feast for the eyes and the aroma from the many coffee shops and restaurants along the way inspire your senses.

Pass over the Avenue of the Arts on the way to Rittenhouse Square, and then wind through the Fitler Square neighborhood to the Schuylkill River. The scenery changes again here as you work your way along the paths of the Schuylkill Banks, with the countless other runners, walkers, and bikers, towards the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Great views over the Boat Houses and of the Water Works gives your guide plenty of photos to take with you as the main feature.

The statue of Rocky adorns the area at the bottom of the famous steps that he ran in 1976, and perhaps your guide gives you the chance to run the steps before you head on to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Here, you find the Thinker by Auguste Rodin and the famous Barnes Foundation, as well as Logan Circle. Your guide takes your Segway tour onto some of the back streets towards the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and then back through Chinatown, Old City to the Philly Tour Hub.

We make safety a high priority on your adventure, and we know you’ll return with a much greater appreciation of the city by the end of your exciting Philadelphia Segway tour.
